The song is about having to take that leap of faith and going all-in in order to achieve success in whatever you choose to do in life"If you don't sacrifice for your dream, your dream will be the sacrifice", which really resonated with him and was the inspiration to write this song. Because as an artist, Pereira felt he had to make so many tough choices, included giving up his marriage, in order to follow his musical career path. Musicically, the song has that quintessential upbeat Steadies groove with ska-pop-punk influences from bands such as The Police, Sublime, and No Doubt.  Whild catch anthemic melodies soar alongside rocking guitar riffs.
